Editorial standards and corrections

The Leisure Society publishes fashion, lifestyle, travel, music and technology features for readers in the UK. The editor oversees editorial decisions. The publication is operated by Finn Digital Media LTD.

Found something that needs correcting?

Email info@theleisuresociety.co.uk with the article link, the passage concerned and any supporting source. Please put “Correction” in the subject line.

Accuracy and sources

Our editorial standard is to distinguish facts, opinion and commercial claims. We use original reporting where available and attribute information drawn from other sources. For practical guides, official transport operators, attractions, public bodies and product documentation are preferred sources for details such as timetables, entry requirements and specifications.

Prices, opening hours and travel arrangements can change. A checked date describes when the information was reviewed; it is not a guarantee that every detail remains unchanged. Readers should confirm time-sensitive arrangements with the provider before booking.

Reviews and researched guides

An article should make clear whether it is based on a writer’s own visit or product use, an interview, or desk research. We do not present a researched itinerary as a first-hand trip or imply that a product has been tested when it has not. Relevant limitations and material commercial relationships should be disclosed.

Bylines link to author pages showing the contributor’s background and published work. Expertise is described only where it can be supported; general lifestyle content is not a substitute for individual medical, legal or financial advice.

Advertising and editorial independence

The site carries advertising and accepts paid commercial content. Paid placements should be clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Affiliate relationships and supplied products or hosted experiences should also be disclosed where relevant. A search-engine link attribute is not a replacement for a reader-facing disclosure.

Advertisers do not determine the outcome of an independent editorial review. Our advertising and commercial disclosure policy explains the different arrangements.

Use of AI and editing tools

AI tools may assist with research, organisation, drafting, editing or illustrations. Human editors remain responsible for checking sources, accuracy, attribution and the final material. AI output is not evidence of a fact or a substitute for first-hand experience. Generated illustrations must not be passed off as documentary photographs.

Corrections, updates and complaints

Send factual concerns to the editorial email above. Include the article URL, what you believe is wrong, why it is wrong and any evidence that would help us check it. Please identify any privacy concern or urgent risk clearly.

The editor will review the concern against the available evidence. Substantive factual corrections should be explained in a note on the article, identifying what changed and when. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a separate correction note. An update that adds new information should not disguise an earlier factual error.

If you disagree with the response, reply to the same email and ask the editor to reconsider, explaining which point remains unresolved. We may need to seek further information from the writer or an outside source. We will explain the outcome, including where we do not agree that a correction is warranted.
